Former Pillow Fluffer from our Bendigo office, Craig, has sadly left our organisation after over five years’ service. But it’s for a good cause, because Craig’s made it all the way to Europe to realise his dream - to become a male model, or as Craig likes to say: “to get on them covers!”. We just want to thank Craig for his loyal service to Cavanaugh McGraw and wish him all the best in his quest to change the face of male modeling. After seeing his first YouTube video and his great new website, we sure he’s got what it takes!

No more Sunday kebabs!

In a strange move on Monday, 11 August 2008, the British Government enacted legislation making it illegal to produce and consume kebabs on Sundays. Speaking on behalf of the legislature, Terry Winston MP explained: “It has long been thought in Britain that Kebabs are a completely inappropriate food to be consumed on Sundays. We are, however, completely in favour of kebab-consumption at all other times, including in the wee hours of the morning. We also trust that any adverse impact on the kebab-producers in Britain that may flow from this action will be offset by increased consumption on Monday-through-Saturday.”

Human rights groups have decried the move, arguing it infringes on our most fundamental liberties. Prominent human rights spokesperson, Melinda Fringes, issued a statement saying: “What the British Government has done here shows a blatant disregard for our basic freedoms. It should be left to the individual to decide on what days they choose to eat kebabs and that may indeed be on all seven days of the week! Where does this sort of action stop?”

Famous gay rights activist, Bruno Badagio, has also surprisingly waded in the debate, describing the new laws as “offensive” and kebabs as “utterly fabulous!”-

Victory in landmark negligence case

Cavanaugh McGraw has long acted on behalf of powerful tinned-tomato giant, Tomatoes In A Can Corporation. As has been well-documented in recent global press, Tomatoes In A Can has been at the centre of a legal and media hale storm since the on-the-job death of 24-year-old factory worker, Alexander Pjemski, at Tomatoes In A Can’s Polish facility.

On 21 January 2008, Mr Pjemski was brutally diced to death and allegations quickly followed of malpractice and poor maintenance on behalf of Tomatoes In A Can.

Thankfully, all such allegations have now been defused in the Polish Courts after several months of hard work at our Warsaw office. In summary, we produced substantial evidence that Mr Pjemski had developed a lethal addiction to our client’s fine product, which ultimately lead to his regrettable demise. Kudos to Wladek Rosnovski, Senior Associate, for his fine efforts in the case.
